Of course, you can choose something out of the same San Jose guidebook that everyone and their uncle has checked for the last several years, but that does not imply you’ll have a very nice experience (in truth, it may virtually ensure a poor one!). Alternatively, it is a good idea to do the tiniest bit of exploration, utilizing your good friend the ‘net. Locals will always be aware of the most reliable places to stay in their own city, what the best accommodations are, and the perfect months to hit up their favourite parts of the city. But you don’t want to be going up to anyone you happen across in the airport terminal in San Jose, asking for their hints and tips. So alternatively, we’ve compiled read more...

So alternatively, we’ve compiled this short set of our 3 most-loved hotels in San Jose for you. These are the ones we suggest to our family when they arrive to visit – but because we really do not want you to imagine we’re really being biased, listed below are the comparisons from Yelp.com:

1. Moorpark Hotel
4241 Moorpark Ave
San Jose, CA 95129
(408) 864-0300
www.jdvhotels.com/moorpark

For San Jose, this is probably the best value hotel you can find that is clean, well

kept, comfortable, reasonable, and nicely done up. The rooms are simple pleasures and

everything feels just that slight bit of luxury, not overly opulent and almost “just

right.”

For some reason, the towels are ESPECIALLY fluffy. Usually you come to hotels of this

sort and it’s a little on the older side so the towels have been well washed, and

despite the fact that they’re new, the “fuzzy” is kind of gone … not here!

I definitely agree that it feels homely and sometimes that’s just the kind of escape

you need when your home doesn’t feel so homely.

- Lorrie M. (San Jose, CA)

2. Hotel Valencia Santana Row
355 Santana Row
San Jose, CA 95128
(408) 551-0010
www.hotelvalencia-santanarow.com

Seriously the staff and professionals at this hotel ARE AMAZING! They are all SUPER

DUPER NICE, professional, and overall just pleasant.

The price may not be the most affordable, but I personally thought it was worth. PLUS!

If you plan on drinking, $200 some odd dollars is cheaper than a DUI and an insurance

premium hike!

The rooms are modern and have a luxurious homey vibe to them. They put us in and

AWESOME AWESOME room on the 6th floor with a balcony. The view was great and we

enjoyed every moment of seeing the row from above.

And though I’m a local, I’d say I’ll be back!

- Christina L. (San Jose, CA)

3. The Sainte Claire
302 S Market St
San Jose, CA 95113
(408) 295-2000
www.thesainteclaire.com

I have a penchant for historical hotels’ grandeur and charm and the Sainte Claire has

it in spades. The stunning foyer and glass-lined hallway with gorgeous chandeliers

evokes yesteryear elegance. My bed was heavenly and the hotel’s location is very

convenient for doing business in and around downtown San Jose.

- Perky L. (San Antonio, TX)

We’re almost certain one of the 3 there will suit your style! San Jose is famous for all these hotels (and more!), considering that tourism is so important to our attractive and lively metropolis. If it ends up you’ve frequented one of these restaurants and you are not happy, send us a message to tell us! Or, in case you have uncovered a hidden gem by yourself, please share it with us so we can improve our internet site to help the next travellers!
